1.0) Who Needs an IEC? IEC is compulsory for:
- All importers and exporters (except certain exempted categories)
- Exporters claiming benefits under export incentive schemes like Advance Authorisation, EPCG, RoDTEP, and SEIS

1.1) IEC Exemptions – Who Doesn’t Need It?
The following categories are exempted from obtaining an IEC:
